Here is an outline to go by :

1. Trousers: P-37, P-40, P-37 Para

UK P-37 Web Anklets or Gaiters, khaki WWII dated (Org)

3. P-37 Web Gear: Two Bren Gun Ammo Puches, two shoulder straps, one Web belt, Water bottle, Cup, Backpack, Bayonet and frog, Entrenching tool and carrier.


4.  No. 4  Lee-Enfield Rifle with sling


5. UK 1st Pattern Denison smock or 2nd Pattern

6. Red (Maroon) Beret. This headdress was worn by airborne troops, of which the 1st Battalion was a part, they were Gliderborne Infantry as opposed to the 'traditional' paratrooper. On the beret was placed the regimental cap badge, and in the case of the Royal Ulster Rifles, a dark green backing was also used
